VETERANS TREATMENT COURT

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the 41B District Court Veterans Treatment Court is to identify and assist veterans within the criminal justice system and honor the service and sacrifice they’ve made for our country. This will be accomplished by providing them with a judicially supervised, mentor oriented, VA assisted treatment program that will address the issues that brought them into the criminal justice system. This program will increase public safety by stabilizing, rehabilitating and reintegrating substance-free veterans back into our community. It will also mend families and give hope to those suffering from the disease of addiction, while fostering healthy, long-term lifestyle changes. All veterans will be treated equally, with dignity and respect as they work toward long-term recovery.
VETERANS TREATMENT COURT TEAM MEMBERS
Veterans Office of America – Chapter 154
On December 14th, the 41B Veterans Treatment Court team, participants and mentors donated their time to the Veterans Office of America, Chapter 154 by packaging food and toys for veteran families in need. In addition to this event, our veterans have been in the community performing random acts of kindness, a requirement of the treatment court program. Volunteering their time at local hospitals, helping to carry groceries for a stranger, shoveling snow for a neighbor are all examples of what our participants are doing to make sure they are giving back this holiday season.
